Training and Development
Dr Fadi Kherdaji began his ophthalmic training in Cheltenham, where he gained broad experience in general ophthalmology and eye surgery. During this time, he developed a particular interest in vitreoretinal surgery, providing a strong surgical foundation before progressing into more specialised areas of ophthalmology.

International Fellowship Training
Driven by a passion for continual learning, Dr Kherdaji undertook advanced fellowship training in medical and surgical retinal diseases in Singapore, gaining valuable experience in the management of complex retinal conditions. He later received the prestigious International Council of Ophthalmology Fellowship, enabling him to complete further specialist training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. These internationally recognised fellowships helped develop the advanced surgical skills that underpin his approach to cataract surgery, laser vision correction and refractive lens procedures today.

Following his international training, Dr Kherdaji returned to Damascus, where he played a key role in establishing the Eye and Ear Hospital. As Chief Surgeon, he led the development of specialist services for retinal, corneal and refractive conditions, helping to deliver high-quality ophthalmic care while supporting the growth of advanced surgical services within the region.
Joining London Vision Clinic
In January 2026, Dr Fadi Kherdaji joined London Vision Clinic, bringing with him more than two decades of international experience in cataract surgery, corneal surgery and refractive vision correction.
