The next best thing to first-hand experience is the experience of others.

While I was mostly happy with the outcome of the surgery, the bedside manner of my surgeon, Prof Dan Reinstein, left a bit to be desired.

Let’s start with the good: The surgery itself was a pleasant experience, the outcome of my surgery was good, the recovery was quick & easy, the reception staff were very responsive to email & phone calls and the clinicians have been very helpful during my in-person visits. My optometrist Emma Brandon was also lovely & helpful.
My surgeon Dan Reinstein, was a mixed experience. I am sure he is very skilled, and his bedside manner was good during the surgery itself. However he was quite condescending during our appointments, dismissing many of my questions & several times feeling the need to inform me that he “knows more than me” without any prompting.
The clinicians said to email or text them with any questions I had but never responded to the emails or texts I sent with questions.
I also had some conflicting instructions by the optometrist & the surgeon on what to do during recovery which was a bit confusing.
Finally, I went to a third-party optometrist after my final 1-year post-surgery checkup and they mentioned that I should consider wearing glasses for computer use, as I am very slightly long-sighted now & still have an astigmatism. This wasn’t mentioned to me by LVC during my final follow-up with them.

Excellent treatment! Great experience from start to finish. Follow up consultation was yesterday, and all is 100%.😁 Well recommended if you are fed up with glasses!!

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Throughout the initial thorough examination, surgery and follow-up examinations, I experienced true professionalism and caring from the whole team.

My surgeon was Darshak Patel, who was excellent - professional and compassionate and explained the whole procedure in great detail. He made me feel very much at ease. I had a slight worry three days after surgery and telephoned him. He took the time to speak to me and allayed my worries. I felt that he went above and beyond the call of duty.

My eyesight is now far better than it has been for years.

Excellent, exceptionally personalised service! There is no doubt that Dr Reinstein is world leading ophthalmologist and his clinic has state of art equipment, but what impressed me most was a very humane attitude towards patients. In my case I had to reschedule my surgery literally the morning of operation, as I fell ill the night before - that was accommodated without any issues or extra costs. It goes without saying that my vision is now perfect and post surgery recovery went very well.

I have just had my 2 month post laser appt and my eyes are at the exact point of clear vision that I was advised to expect....The whole experience from initial appts to the laser surgery performed by Professor Dan was an absolute pleasure, no pain, no unprofessionalism from anyone all, it all ran so smoothly it renews my jaded faith in UK services. I cannot explain how much it has changed my life to be able to pick up a book or read a list of ingredients on the back of jars without specs or squinting, it is the most fabulous thing I have ever done for myself. The team are all very friendly throughout the process, keeping you informed and explaining everything clearly. Everything went smoothly from the pre surgical appointments to the operation itself! So far its the best decision and investment I’ve ever made!

Treatment and after care at the London Vision Clinic is first class. From initial assessment for suitability for laser surgery, to the surgery itself and the after care since I have felt so looked after. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you’re considering laser surgery I would tell you to do it and have the London Vision Clinic do it

Had great experience from start to end , I have had my LASIK done yesterday and had my 1 day post op appointment today . The whole team was great very polite . I have dealt mainly with Olivia and Mr Carp , both really amazing and made me feel really welcome . The whole journey was easy , pain free and best decision I have made . I cannot recommend London Vision Clinic enough.

I had a very complex prescription, being long-sighted and also having a severe astigmatism, so after being told by other companies for years that I would never be able to have laser eye surgery and to give up, I was about to do just that. Until one day I came across The London Vision Clinic. I decided to try one last time and it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.

From the moment I stepped foot into the building I could feel that I was in safe hands. The receptionists were friendly and professional and the optometrist Emma at my initial consultation was so informative and thorough. I was told that they would be able to treat me with Lasik. Naturally, I was sceptical because I had been told it would be absolutely impossible for so many years. The next day I received a follow up call where I booked the procedure, again i was extremely cautious not to get my hopes up but was assured that the procedure could go ahead. I was booked in for the procedure within 2 weeks.

For my procedure I was booked in with Dr Carp. I feel so lucky to have had Dr Carp as a surgeon. He had been informed that I was nervous that I would eventually be told that I wasn't eligible, so he requested for our appointment to be an extra 15 minutes longer so that he could put my mind at ease, which it really did.

On the day of the surgery I felt relaxed and unfazed, I knew that I was getting treated by the best of the best. Everyone I encountered on the day from the reception staff to all of the surgeons put me at ease and made me feel like I was in safe hands. The procedure itself took about 10 minutes. Within an hour and a half of getting there I was being driven home and could read all of the road signs and number plates around me! - something I never thought i would be able to do without glasses - A miracle!

I'm now 4 months on, I've just had my 3rd check up and my vision is perfect. Thank you so so much to Dr Carp and your whole team. I am so grateful and cannot recommend this clinic enough.
