What is Our Success Rate for LASIK and Other Laser Eye Surgery Treatments?
When you’re trusting a clinic with something as important as your vision, you want to know that you will be receiving the very best care as well as the best chance at an excellent outcome. So, you will probably want to know the success rate of any clinic you consider for your LASIK or other Laser Eye Surgery treatment.
That’s why, in this article, we’ll be answering one of the most important questions our patients ask us: What is our success rate with LASIK Laser Eye Surgery?
At London Vision Clinic, we have always asked our prospective clients to judge us on our results and research. We’re proud to offer expertise from world-renowned surgeons and the most up-to-date technology and treatments – but all of that means nothing if our results don’t live up to your expectations.
Our dedication to achieving optimum results for every patient has helped to put our independent Harley Street clinic and our results among the very best in the world. So, with that said, let’s take a look at some of our results for different refractive errors.
Our Laser Eye Surgery Results for Short-Sightedness
Short-sightedness (myopia) is the most common refractive error worldwide. As such, our team is well used to correcting this error – and our results speak for themselves. For all patients treated for short-sightedness with a prescription up to -12.00:
- 100% achieved 20/25 vision or better.
- 98% achieved 20/20 vision or better – that’s good enough for a fighter pilot!
- 74% achieved 20/16 or better.
- 34% achieved 20/12.5 or better.
For reference, 20/20 vision means that you are able to see clearly at 20 feet what a person with “normal” vision can see at 20 feet. That means that the majority of our patients (74%) who start out with a prescription up to -12.00 achieve better than average vision after treatment at London Vision Clinic.
Short-Sightedness with Presbyopia
PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision, a revolutionary treatment for age-related vision impairment, was pioneered at London Vision Clinic. We became the first clinic in the UK to offer this treatment to patients almost two decades ago, and we’ve been helping to change people’s lives for the better ever since.
- 98% of our PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision patients can read N8 – that’s normal newsprint.
- 96% of our patients achieve the “normal” standard of 20/20 vision, with many achieving even better!
- 92% of patients can read N5 (the smallest text size).
These figures are based on an analysis of 420 consecutive procedures performed by our surgeons at London Vision Clinic.
