Will I be able to contact my surgeon after treatment?
Having access to your surgeon after your procedure is an important consideration for the best recovery.
While various members of clinic staff will play a part in your treatment, from optometrists to your clinic care coordinator, the buck ultimately stops with your surgeon.
The surgeon who performs your treatment is directly responsible for your care as a patient – even if some aspects of your aftercare plan have been delegated to an optometrist. As such, you should always be able to contact them if necessary.
Following your procedure, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled for the next day. Ideally, this will be with the surgeon who performed your surgery. Good clinics will instruct you how to contact your surgeon should you have any concerns after this appointment.
At London Vision Clinic, our patients are given their surgeon’s personal mobile number on the day of their surgery. This means they can contact their surgeon immediately with any pressing concerns or questions they may have relating to their treatment.
